Trinity of Tailoring
We are already beginning to see a shift in the way people dress and the way people present ourselves to others at work. With the decline in the need for an office suit we are seeing this definite change. The disposable cheap work suit is fast becoming a thing of the past, with gentlemen now opting for one really well cut suit for their weekly meeting. Hopefully the mass produced ‘cheap’ suit will be a distant tailoring memory and a revival of the cut and fit we see formality return with a small well proportioned “f”.
We offer three distinct services for made garments. All have the same attention to detail but the level of hand workman ship vary greatly between the services.
Outfitters
All garments follow our house blocks and sizing but can be personalised with your our choice of cloth and lining. Straight finished without fittings.

Stewart Christie traces its trading heritage back to around 1720. Located in the New Town of Edinburgh, we have served four generations of the distinguished gentry of Scotland’s capital and beyond, supplying the likes of the The High Constables of Holyrood house, the Royal Company of Archers, the Moderators of the Church of Scotland and many family estates, to name but a few. Always growing, after four generations in the same family a new era has dawned under careful and respectful new ownership. A new future for SC&Co.
