Celebrating 175 Years of Glenlyon Tweed Mill

Celebrating 175 Years of Glenlyon Tweed Mill

We would like to introduce two beautifully crafted short clips we’ve produced of Glenlyon Tweed Mill, in celebration of our 175th Anniversary this year! We’re eager to celebrate these before the year concludes.

Each clip runs for 30 seconds and is part of a larger project; a 10-minute documentary which will be entered into a number of film festivals next year. This documentary highlights the invaluable process of passing knowledge from weaver to weaver and underscores the importance of our fragile industry.

After a year since the takeover, we believe this is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the skills and craftsmanship of our company, celebrating the legacy that spans generations.

We would like to thank our weavers, particularly Jim and Gordon Hermiston who between them have been weaving for nearly 100 years! This really is an incredible feat.
